Covid Efforts Taken By GivingCircleFoundation For 2021
India is suffering a brutal second wave of covid -19 infections. Each day we are witnessing thousands of new cases and thousands of deaths. In this dire and distressing situation the GivingCircleFoundation has unanimously decided to help Indian NGO’s and charity organisation’s who are building the groundwork for helping the covid victims. Joining hands with Indian NGO’s GivingCircleFoundation was able to help Sewa International, Kolkata Foundation, Khalsa Aid, One Billion Literates Foundation and St. John’s Hospital.
Kolkata Foundation
Kolkata Foundation launched a drive to “Help Kolkata survive the COVID second wave” on April 26th. So far Kolkata Foundations has raised 50K through FB fundraising drive. Kolkata Foundation has partnered with RHCF and Mukti – two organizations on the ground to distribute medicine packs, oxygen cylinders and concentrators to Kolkata, North and South 24 Parganas in West Bengal.
GivingCircleFoundation supported Kolkata Foundation to purchase oxygen concentrators and medicine kits.

One Billion Literates Foundation
One Billion Literates Foundation(OBLF) provides supplementatal education to improve English and Technological literacy to under privilege children in rural Bangalore.
They train and employ rural women as teachers enabling the creation of social and financial empowerment. As India faced the biggest COVID crisis during the second wave of infections in 2021, OBLF partnered with another non profit organiation Enablers United to launch Covid relief efforts.
GivingCircleFoundation contributions were used to setup their first covid care center and also to setup isolation centers tied to primary health centers in interior villages of state of Karnataka.

St. John's Hospital Bangalore
St. Jonhn’s Medical Hospital has been at the forefront of the battle against covid-19. To date they have catered to almost 20,000 pateints and in an effort to continue their support in this pandemic they have put out a joint appeal on MILLAP to raise money for oxygen support, bedside oxygen concentrators, PPE’s, Food costs for patients and front line workers, Hand sanitizer, Portable ultrasound for covid ICU’s and MRI compatible ventilators. GivingCircleFoundation has made contributions to the MILLAP campaign setup by St.John’s Hospital Covid Care Appeal. Funds given by GivingCircleFoundation have been helpful to set up ICU beds.
